Discover the Allure of Green Sarvot Garnet: A Gemstone Treasure Unveiled

Savolite is a type of garnet. The most popular color is emerald, but zavorite can also be light or dark green.Today N.J. joins you to discuss ‘Unveiling gemstone treasureDiscover the Allure of Green Sarvot Garnet’.

Source of Sarvot Garnet

British geologists discovered savolet in the 1960s in a barren, lion-infested wilderness in Tanzania, and then in Kenya along the Kenya-Tanzania border. It was named by Tiffany & Co. after the Tsavo Game Reserve in Kenya . The purest shade of green and the highest quality of savalet is still only found in the Tsavo region of Kenya.

Savorette is the best alternative to emerald, especially because it contains fewer ingredients (sometimes even flawlessly), is rarely treated, and is more durable (harder on the Mohs scale than emerald). . Emeralds, on the other hand, are usually oiled and filled with glass. Savolat has a particularly amazing brilliance, so it really beats jade!

Sarvot Garnet History

Chavolet has an extremely ancient geological history. The Kenya-Tanzania border area has a history of volcanic activity, but the rocks that form Savolat were first formed more than 2 billion years ago, so it’s older than the dinosaurs!

Chavolet is only found in relatively small sizes. Stones over 2.5 carats are considered very rare and valuable. The award-winning gem from the Smithsonian Gem Collection is only 7 carats. The largest and cleanest Savolat ever discovered is a 325.14-carat top-color stone found near the Block B tanzanite mine near Arusha, Tanzania. It’s worth over $2 million.

How to Care for Sarvore Garnet

Savorette has a Mohs hardness of 7.5 and is much more durable than emerald. You don’t have to worry about damaging it. However, as with all gemstones, there are some things that should be noted. For example, don’t use a steam cleaner, the kind often used in jewelry stores to clean diamonds. This can cause the diamond to break. Unlike Tanzanite, Savolat can be cleaned with an ultrasonic cleaner. But the safest method is still to clean with warm soapy water and a toothbrush.
